What is Wish Board?
Explore: Japanese Omikuji (縺翫∩縺上§) ツキ Japanese Wish Board (鬘倥>邨オ鬥ャ)
A weekly "wall of wishes" that resets each week. Write a wish, share it with others, and at the weekend your wishes are "purified" (removed from the server). Seeing everyone's wishes together creates a sense of connection.
What is Ema? (Japanese wish plaques)
Ema (邨オ鬥ャ) are small wooden plaques used at Shinto shrines in Japan. People write wishes or thanks on them and hang them at the shrine. The shrine then burns the ema in a ritual called otakiage (縺顔・縺堺ク翫£) to send the wishes to the gods. This app is inspired by that tradition: you write a wish each week, and we "purify" the board by removing last week's data from the server—like a digital otakiage.
Ema literally means "picture-horse"; historically, people offered real horses to shrines, and later replaced them with wooden plaques. Today, ema are a familiar part of Japanese shrine culture.

How it works
1. Write a wish
Enter your wish (up to 100 characters). Negative wording may be gently rephrased.
2. View wishes & clap
Wishes appear in real time. Double-tap (mobile) or double-click (PC) on a wish to clap. Send a heart to wishes you connect with.
3. Weekly purification
The board resets at Sunday 24:00 (Monday 0:00 JST)—wishes disappear from the list then. The server removes last week's data at Sunday 22:00 JST (purification); this time may change in the future.
When are wishes removed? (Purification)
schedule When do they disappear?
The board list resets at Sunday 24:00 (Monday 0:00 JST)—this is when wishes disappear from the display. At Sunday 22:00 JST, purification runs and last week's wishes are deleted from the server. Wish text is not kept after purification.
The purification time (22:00) and when last week's data is removed may change in the future. The cycle is currently one week. We will announce any changes in the app or on the top page.
cloud_off What is removed from the server
- Wish text—all removed
- Individual wish content is not kept in the archive
- Only weekly stats (total posts, claps, etc.) remain and can be viewed in History by week
phone_android What stays in your browser
Wishes you posted are stored in your browser's local storage. If you don't clear browser data or cache, you can still see them in History—"Your posts"—after purification. Only wishes you posted on that device and browser are shown.
About the "Miko" (Shrine maiden) feedback
Miko's message
When you post a wish, the "Miko" (shrine maiden) generates a short, positive comment for you. Negative wording may be rephrased in a positive way so you receive encouraging feedback.
How it works: Messages are generated automatically using the Gemini API. This is for entertainment only; it does not guarantee outcomes or fortune-telling.
Please note
- The service may be paused without notice for maintenance, outages, or other reasons. Posting and viewing may be unavailable during that time.
- The purification schedule (currently weekly) or time may change depending on usage, maintenance, or policy.
- Data on the server (wish text, claps, etc.) may be lost due to purification, outages, or maintenance. Please keep your own copy of important content.
Thank you for your understanding.
